Ned Scott CEO of Steemit Inc CONFIRMS he is STAYING on Steemit on his Telegram group. Ned is NOT 'selling 50% of his Stake" NOPE he is just powering down 1.8 Million Steem but thats NOT the same as Selling on the market! COMPLETELY different things!
So here is the Telegram Channel Link for @ned Scott's Smart media Token (SMT) Group where you can actually catch him interacting with the Steem community https://t.co/FiXSp02Ba0 It is just like how you can reach @dan & watch him actively engaging with EOS users on their telegram, except, theres a lot less competition to reach Ned, so you can more realistically have a Talk with @ned on the SMt telegram group so start hanging out there and participate, and don't beg him for delegation please, just SHOW him a project & if he likes a project he will let YOU know. It was funny when he came into @mughat 's discord and I even scored a laugh with @ned with my line explaining to Mughat that Ned is into "Social Media not SocialISM" while defending his 1 person 1 Voter SMT idea. It was a lot of fun to get to hear an intellectual and technical debate between @mughat vs @ned on Mughat's discord channel. So do I see the 1 Person 1 Vote system for an SMT as even able to work? Honestly it doesn't matter as long as the technology demonstrator is demonstrating! Just imagine all large non profit organizations and NGOs having steem based systems for helping to get their volunteers some rewards for the social media posts that can be their proof of "work' or proof of "charity" whatever you want to call it! SMTs can be established in schools, summer camps, they can be a sort of POINT earning system which kids can be fighting to earn and save up all year until they can cash out their school tokens they earn from good grades on tests and homework... imagine high grade earning kids being able to actually buy videogame consoles or smartphones with SMTs for schools, all based on steem. Steem is So bright & SMTs are most likely what this 1.8 million steempower down was all about. Either SMT or Communities or maybe some new system for mass onboarding user accounts while also not spending a fortune on delegating to create new accounts? Who really knows but we Can be Certain that ned IS staying! All of steem has led up to SMTs!
@ned goes no where, lol
Powering down is not the same as selling but if you want to sell you have to power down (duh).
yeah but why even bring up the idea f selling steem? It makes no sense for Ned to sell so lets give him the benefit of the doubt
If Ned is actually selling his own stake privately in large chunks, 100K steem at a time , thats great! I know for a fact ned alrteady has been doing this and of course many of our current investors are here thanks to Ned making phone calls
Look if ned wasnt able to convince the big investors that this was worth it than they wouldnt have put their millions worth of bitcoin in, and hey if those guys can risk that much, everyone under them with less steem should feel much better.
did he say why he was powering down? For me it still raises flags. What would be the benefits of powering down?
You first need to understand he may feel he has too much steempower in one account and sincehesnot utilizing his rewards much (good for us , we get bigger allocation) then it doenst matter if he powers down and sends teh steem to a new account fopr development
he is already using this @brixtongg account which isnt doing anything yet, but check its wallet see how its got 110,000 Steem from ned now, few days ago, and thats awesome! It may be some sort of clothing apparel line for steemians or custom hoodies andt shirts when you create an SMT, you can hire a steemian on utopian.io type service to make your custom logo and then have it printed on some MERCH maybe to have automated MERCH stores on your Steem Community/SMT page! I feel like this new project may be either with the brixton clothing company like i found here https://www.brixton.com/
or MAYBE it is for the CITY of Brixton to have their own crypto currency? I dunno i feel like theres so many possibilities! Im just glad to see movement in the ecosystem! SMts one page order form looks AMAZING like ANYONE will be able to create an SMT unlike ANy other crypto! https://smt.steem.io
thanks for the informative response.
Sometimes... the effect of "What a big name do" will make overreaction of public.
Yup that's why I thought it was SUper important to push out this post and I think I should do another one too to keep reminding people that @ned is actually more invested than ANYONE else, and to claim otherwise is not fair to Him. he has the MOST to loose! ned wont be powering down if he wants to access his wealth on steem.
He knows that by the time hes done USING his stake he will have a stake so large that when he just rents OUT his SP he will make more than even powering down any at all!
just simply not touching most of his SP allows other Steemians to get a bigger allocation of the reward pool. By doing less hes doing more
But ned is doing a great job by showing restraint and one day, he will be able to cash out 1% of his stake and it will be bigger than 10% of his stake today... BUT if he just leases out some of his SP he can make liquid steem without having to power down! Imagine how useful that can be for @ned when he wants to keep a record of not powering down for whatever reason or another, to show others how its possible maybe to get liquid without powering down by leveraging your SP leasing it on the market etc.
It is a news that I am pleased to read! Thank you for sharing this information with us, I will keep the hopes in Steem
LOOK @ned has confirmed on the telegram chat after i posted this very post, that yes he is staying. and that it is FUD to say otherewise.
Even if he didn't power down, he can't upvote others, so he's on his own if he power Up or power down
to quickly catch up, heres a Great post im about to resteem about this event by @exyle which i hope this post adds to
