Casssava is a tropical root crop publicly known as cassava but it has a botanical name called 'manihot esculenta' and it take at least 8month of worm weather to produce a crop and based on research i was made to understand that it grow in savanna climate and it can also grow in an extrame of rainfall but in a moist area it does not like flooding and in a dryed period or drough area it looses it leaves in other to conserve moisture then it start producing new leaves when rain start falling.

But the shocking thing that happen to cassava is that it take 18month or more under adverse condition either dry or cool weather in other to produce w crop and is matured for havervest after 8month you can start harvesting but some people leave theirs in other to get enlarge but the more the root age,the more centre part become wood.
But based on my own point of view cassava can be harvested by holding the lower part of the stem and pulling the root out of ground then u can now start to remove them from the based of the plant by hand and that can actually happen when you start your haervest at least 8month after plant.
