I came in early again. Katie was working on another client, so I just sat down in the other room and waited for her to finish. You see I can tell when she is finished as there is a mirror that from my angle I can see her working.

So when I see that they are through and just doing small talk I walk over there. As Katie is saying good bye to her last client it gives me a chance to take a picture of her station for this blog.

So as the haircut is going on, I bring up what we last talked about, her and her husband getting a new/used car. I find that it is a Toyota 4Runner. So by the name I ask if it is a 4 wheel drive. Katie said, yes.

Just for fun I asked her if she took it to the river yet. She said, no. Then she told me that she hasn't gone camping in it yet. I asked if she liked camping. She told me, yes. I asked if she cared about the bears. She told me that she never ran into a bear.

Well, that is one thing I don't really want to run into some big bear that has the power to rip off my head. I guess if you are trapped and there is no where to go, the best thing to do is to look big and grab two big rocks and bang them together.

That reminds me of when I was trained by an old postal carrier and a dog ran up on him. Well, he faced the big dog and clapped his hands and the dog backed off for a bit, enough time to get into the vehicle with no problems.

OK, back to the conversations with Katie, I asked if she seen any skunks on her camping trips. She told me, yes and even seen them in her area. I didn't tell her, but during the time when I was a teenager I was with the YMCA and I was camping with a group of teenagers. Anyway we were sleeping on the ground with just the sleeping bags and a skunk came through the different rows of sleeping bags with the teenagers in them. I said, calmly to the others, What ever you do, do not scare the skunk or it will spray the scent. Well, no one got sprayed. That was good.

Then I told Katie of the skunks that live under my house and the skunks that live under my shed. I told her that I like that they are there as they do eat mice and rats and also termites. I really like them that they eat termites. They do a better job than the termite people I hired a long while back.

Then we talked about rats. I remember that Katie lives close to a river. Well, that is where we get all the rats. The river rats. I told Katie that when I used to take care of my nephew's German Sheppard, that the dog would bark all the time and scare away the neighborhood cats. Well it was the neighborhood cats that would eat the rats, but without my helpers the rats started to multiply. When my nephew did well, he took back his German Sheppard and the neighborhood cats started to hang out in my backyard again and I started to see less and less rats. That was before that cat that I now have. The cat I now have is a pretty good hunter. I have seen a lizard, different rats and different mice in her mouth at different times.

Then somehow we were talking about my odd jobs. I told Katie that I sometimes drive my neighbor around. My neighbor calls me Uber, but I am not with Uber. He does pay me. I told Katie that a few times I even took his kids to school and sometimes pick them up. It is a odd job.

Katie told me that her last client did Uber and Lyft. She told me that she drives to San Francisco. I told Katie I just like driving around town or maybe even to the next town, but wouldn't drive San Francisco. I hate that kind of traffic.

I told Katie that most of the time I am driving late at night, when my neighbor or his friends need rides, cause they are drunk. The my neighbor tells me that he doesn't even have much money. I told my neighbor to give up the smoking and drinking and that money alone he can save and have a bundle. He told me he won't give up his drinking. I told him that no drunkard shall inherit the kingdom of God as mentioned in 1 Corinthians 6:10. He tells me he will make it. I just hope he will take the time to read the Bible I gave him a while back.

Well, then my haircut was over. Katie always gives me a really good haircut. I pay her and we give each other a hug and I tell her I will send her the link to this blog.

Let's end with a scripture, with Jesus speaking, I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. John 15:5.
