Beginning of ارتقاء

For someone who effortlessly handled multiple responsibilities on Steem in the past, it shouldn't be difficult to walk again on the same path. As absurd as it may sound, it feels a boatload more daunting to manage even a single project now. With time, I have grown into a laid-back kind of user but, at the same time, a lot more conscious of what I do here. I don't know if it makes sense. It didn't happen overnight; I had to unlearn prioritizing Steem over my personal life. That said, I haven't stopped thinking about its growth and future; let's just say I have stopped obsessing over things which are not in my control.

Once I ran away when the responsibility of an old country community fell on my shoulders. But that community wasn't mine, to begin with. I couldn't settle down on being just a face to someone else's ideologies. I could have started a new community from scratch but for whom? At that time, it felt, like I had zero steem compatibility with users from my region.

You know how users from my region are always under tight scrutiny. I have always hated that even if I'm the one who scrutinizes. It feels that I failed to do anything about it back then when I had (what some people may call) power.

I'm also sorry to all those who asked me to create a community with them at different times and I refused. I never thought the solution to all problems was a new community. Especially when there's already a well-established community in that niche. But lately, I have been thinking of having a place to hang out with like-minded people who share the same background as me.

After much thought, I'm finally creating a community.

Even though this new space would strictly be for Pakistanis, and it may sound like a rival to the existing community, it's not. That's not my intention.

Consider this new space, just a small, close-knit group of like-minded users who happen to be Pakistanis. Only that, there's no group yet. Before I invite anyone to join me, I want to be clear that I don't plan on applying for booming or moderate in the conventional way. There won't be any guaranteed rewards or funding of any sort. In other words, I'm not promising you additional support, you will be rewarded as per your own readership's choice.

So, if you are thinking only about rewards, this space is not for you. Not that you won't get any; it's just that I want this space to be more about genuine connections, mutual growth and something that one looks forward to simply because it's fun.

It's an invitation-only community, and I don't plan to be a lone sailor, so I'm inviting @soulfuldreamer, @huzaifanaveed1 and @aminasafdar to grace this space with their presence. Be a part of ارتقاء. Sorry for not giving you a heads-up, but no pressure, guys. You are free to avoid this mention. I can't think of other names at this moment, but I will slowly invite more people who I think could be a perfect fit and, most importantly, would enjoy being a part of this circle.
