As you know I live in Barcelona for almost a year, I like art in general but I have a soft spot for Street art. That's why I went on a guided tour organized by "free graffiti Tour Barcelona". I thank our guide "Heloise" to have transmitted all this knowledge, we had a great time!
I will share with you my friends Steemians, what I learned during this visit!

Todos juntos podemos parar el SIDA by Keith Haring

Keith Haring was a well-known New York Street-artist in the 1980s for his "subways drawings" in the city's chalk subway. His simple characters, surrounded by a thick black line or in bright colors are easily recognizable.
Throughout his career, he has made a humanitarian commitment against the concerns of his time: racism, homophobia, discrimination, nuclear, AIDS.

Keith Haring died of AIDS 2 years after this work (1998).

🎨 Space Invader

Since 1996, the artist Space Invader has installed around 3500 mosaics worldwide! It represents the characters of the video game "Space Invader" released in 1978, which saw the technology of the time were very pixelated
He has posed in major cities but also unusual places like the bottom of an ocean, the African savannah, and even in space!
This is what he calls the "invasion".

"My intention is to bring something new, not to destroy the existing" _ Space Invader.

Art Market: A mosaic of this artist sells for about 220,000 euros. Faced with the speculation of street art on the art market, more and more people are trying to steal or even degrade mosaics. Space Invader is very active on the Internet and Social Networks offers you to take a picture of the degraded piece and send you by post the missing parts so that you pick them up yourself. He calls these Internet users "reactivators". I think the idea is awesome!

🎨 Guate Mao and his portraits

Originally from Saint-Denis in the northern suburbs of Paris (and yes he is French too ^^), he secretly spreads his art in the streets of European cities. Painting portraits of people from different ethnic groups around the world, he invites us to travel in the depth of their eyes and the beauty of their colors. He is an artist that I really like because with his colorful portraits, he brings life to the city! =)

🎨 Me Lata and their cans

You must have seen one of their works at the corner of a street in Barcelona. I tell them because Lata is actually a family (parents and their two children) who create this new form of art street with recovery materials. They use cans with positive messages to make them smile.

Konair is one of the best-known graffiti artists in Barcelona. He passes messages through the drawings of an ice cream.
