Stay With The Plan
As adults, we must always ensure that we plan before taking actions regardless of the task or project.
It is important that we nurture and educate our children that they need to stick to what they have planned regardless of challenges or obstacles that they may face.
The perseverance in completing what they have planned provides the learning experience that we can never give them regardless of success or failure.
Don’t Give Up
Our children often choose to give up when they face difficulty in what they decide to start in the first place.
When a child request to learn piano as the admiration of one who can play the piano may be the driving force.
When the child starts to learn it, the process of acquiring the piano skills requires regular practice and learning leading to the need for strong determination.
There are many children who choose to give up since many parents may just give in to their children.
The truth that many who manage to pick up piano skills is due to the insistence of parents who do not allow their children to give up once they have started.
By ensuring they know that they should never give up what they have planned, they learn to push forward in their adulthood even when they face difficulty.
Success or Failure is not the Main Concern
Everyone definitely wants success but success may not always be the end result of what we try to do.
Regardless of success or failure, we want our children to value the experience of sticking to what they plan and accepting the consequence of the result.
Escaping the end result is avoidance of the truth. The accepting of the end result and learn from the experience would provide rich learning opportunity for greater success.
We should never focus so much on success but we should focus on the process and learning when they stick to what they have planned.
Affirm our children of the effort put in and it is all that matters.
The Action Plan
A well-thought plan of all possibilities provides critical thinking in our children.
This is the opportunity to learn how the corporate world works before they even step into the endless challenges.
A plan that takes into account regardless of success or failure.
By knowing how to deal with the consequence even when what they plan does not go accordingly, they have backup plan to reduce the impact of failure significantly.
In Conclusion
In short, we want our children to keep to what they have planned without giving up easily.
Nurturing such attitude should start from young and they can become adults with strong resilience even during challenging times.
Giving up can never be an option for them.
