Update about Girls Foundation Preparation for Orphanage visit in Kumasi, Ghana.

The year has started so beautifully as the foundation sees the need to carry on with what it has started for some time now. That is championing the course to improve and affect the lives of many people here in Africa and some other parts of the world. We are of the great hope that this new year will bring to us greater strength to do more and expose steemit to the world. With the support of @fundition @dollaraday @surfyogi @nanzo-scoop @adetorrent @bleepcoin @ackza @demotruk @joythewanderer @starkerz and many heartless steemians like you, we believe lots of people especially women and young girls will have enough testimonies to share with others of what steem has done in their lives.

HERE we share with you the earlier announcement made to the effect of a collaborative work of @girlsfoundation and @bettervision to transform lives in Ghana at a city called Kumasi. This is just a quick update to run on the preparation of this foundation for the success of the charity work that occurred yesterday. 07.01.2019 was a holiday celebration in Ghana and so a perfect moment for us to join hands and share love with the Kumasi Children's Home in Ghana.

Many thanks to @nattybongo who leads @bettervision and my dear @faetee who in her special way manages @girlsfoundation. They both invested and spent a lot to ensure smiles were worn on the faces of these orphans in Ghana. The many drinks, food, clothes and shelter this foundation provided were very commendable which is a beautiful act for many of us to learn and do also. Both foundations scheduled to meet at 11 am to have the presentation done.

And so this called for the need for bringing together all the available materials for the presentation. @nattybongo did so well to arrange for a vehicle to convey the bags of rice and drinks when I @mcsamm did same to make sure the rest of the materials gathered at my end here were in a perfect condition for our meeting. It really was not easy for both of us finding a vehicle to handle all these plenty stuff from our various homes but it all went well at the end of the day. Our subsequent posts will obviously showcase every single item that we presented to the orphanage yesterday. Every moment that was spent there really worth it and we are so hopeful to see the blessings that were showered on us from the leadership of the orphanage.Many thanks to the leaders of both communities @faetee and @nattybongo for working things out to ensure a successful outreach here in Ghana. The girls foundation is a project set up to enlighten young ladies of their norms and value, advocate for the girl-child, encourage and support them with the little we can.We believe the girl-child can bring about change in our society. • Rape free society- Rape is a sexual assault carried out against a person forcefully. The rate at which girls are being raped these days is alarming, we are also humans and we deserve respect. Most rape victims suffer from trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder, serious injuries and in some cases pregnancy and sexually transmitted infection.
• Fight against domestic violence- it is also known as intimate partner violence, domestic abuse or family violence; it's a form of violence committed in a domestic or family setting, such as in marriage or cohabitation. It is called intimate partner violence when committed by a spouse and called family violence when it involves the kids, parents or elders. Domestic violence has several effects on human that's is why girls foundation is picking it up. Effects of domestic violence
  includes :
  1.) Physical effect: This involves bruises round the victim, broken wrists, shortness of breath etc.
  2.) Mental effect: This involves PTSD (post-traumatic stress),
  pressing, drug abuse, suicidal thoughts etc.
  3.) Emotional effect: This involves feeling unworthy, hopeless and not motivated etc.
  4.)It affects the development of the kids and they suffer from
  depression, anxiety, fear etc
  Domestic violence always produces an international cycles of
  violence. Funny, only few people see themselves as being abused; considering it as family matter.
• Girl education: Some people still believe that training a female child is a waste of time and money 'cause they feel she'd still end up in the kitchen, well sorry to disappoint you but ladies can do much more than just being house wives, lots of educated women are doing fine in our society today. Every child deserves equal right to education.We don't think anyone should be treated differently because of their gender, we are all one and it's high time we realized that.

CONCLUSION:-

The primary aim of the girls foundation is to enlighten youths and increase the awareness of the steem blockchain and steemit. Giving girls the ability to create wealth with their writing skills, without waiting for the government intervention.
