The Balance of Sentiment.
I am not rational,
nor ruthless,
I would define myself as more sentimental.
Order and logic
persuade my irrationality,
finding comfort
in this discomfort.
I value emotions
through imagination,
seeking in introspection
the mysterious sublime.
Symmetry and balance
obscure my art,
with my lens, I uncover
expression in feelings.
Deep sensations,
sometimes complex,
I find and lose myself.
I am attracted to wild nature,
perhaps I will find refuge
from the socialized city.
At the center, personal expression,
in search of creative emphasis,
sometimes emerges.
What is your creative degree?
Ordered or disordered,
90, 180, or 360?
Harmonic proportion,
disordered freedom,
dream and madness.
Such a desire to break
traditional conventions.

My poem was a poetic attempt to express the contrast between neoclassical order and romantic emotion, exploring the tension between rationality and feeling. I am happy that it is the Year of the Dragon because it will bring transformation and new opportunities.
I write and read but no books. Poetry is hard to understand. I hope the dragon will bring you what you need.
