Beer Review

Shimmer is an 8% Imperial/Double IPA brewed by the Tree House Brewing Company in Charlton, Massachusetts. I have tried many different beers from Tree House and they are always top notch. Tree House is a small batch craft brewer specializing in fine New England style IPAs. They do produce stouts, porters and a variety of other styles of beers, but the juice bombs like their Julius, Green, and Haze are what made Tree House become the legend that it is today. Unfortunately you can't find Tree House beers at your local liquor store, you need to travel to the brewery itself and wait in a long line in order to score any of this liquid gold. But it sure is worth it! Shimmer is part of a new series where Tree House adds fruit to their classic IPA recipes.

The Can

Shimmer is served in a full pint can. It has a very cool turquoise blue and purple can which says the following:

Shimmer is a Tree House Double IPA brewed with a blend of American hops and copious doses of passion fruit and peach puree! This beer pours a glowing color in the glass and gives off flavors of tropical fruit, bubble gum, ripe guava, earthy citrus and light passion fruit.

Shimmer is one in a series of beers by Tree House exploring simple additions of fruit, fruit syrups, and fruit powders to our well-refined Tree House IPAs. We invite you to enjoy it fresh and in the company of people who make you smile - Enjoy!

Overall, it's always nice to have a can of Treehouse on hand. Especially when it matches your @steemfest 4 Bangkok, Thailand shirt so perfectly!

The Beer

Shimmer had a bright, light yellow color when I poured it into a glass with a perfect head of foam as you can see in the photo below. It had a deliciously juicy flavor, which made it a perfect pair for a sunny, early summer afternoon. Overall it was a really great beer, just like every single one I have ever tried from Treehouse. I look forward to trying more beers from Tree House Brewing Company in the future.
