Jerrick Balanza is a basketball player from Colegio de San Juan de Letran, Balanza undoubtedly plays a big role for Letran. Some of Letran's win are thanks to Balanza who shines in every game that made him the key player for winning.

10 months ago, Jerrick Balanza was diagnosed by a brain tumor in the temporal lobe. One month after the surgery Balanza surprises his teammates when he made his first appearnce since his surgery. Jerrick Balanza Became Letran's inspiration for the NCAA Season 94 campaign. "I wanted to see my second family and this was the first that I felt nervous during a game because I was a spectator" he said . After the surgery, Balanza is allowed to play again for Letran within 6 months of recovery.

And now, Balanza is taking the court once again at Filoil Flying V Centre. AFter 10 months of waiting, Balanza is now at full Strength to once again play the sport that he loves. Jerrick Balanza has put a career best of 31 points in NCAA in his 2nd game after surgery against Arellano. For Balanza getting back in game is fun no matter what the hurdle he's faced, he said "Yun talaga nagiging motivation ko. Sinasabi na pressure kasi bagong-balik ako, pero sinasabi ko, 'Pressure? Baka nga naubos na pressure sa katawan ko dahil sa mga pinagdadaanan ko".
