You may be wondering why my beak is black. Don't ducks usually have yellow beaks?

Well, my friends, I have been the subject of a series of experiments on how to change the color of a duck's beak. One does have to wonder why so many thousands of dollars of grant money have been allocated for this. But then again one does have to wonder how many other "unusual" and "out-of-the-way" experiments are being funded by the government and institutions of higher learning.

In any case here I stand a survivor of tests and studies, injections and extracts with my stunning black beak.

It will be interesting to see how this affects my mating ritual. Will the opposite sex become more attracted or will they run away seeing me as some freak of nature and probably unhealthy?

Will I and the others like me now bring a higher price in the market place? Cooked...

Will this beak work as well as the standard yellow one?

Why me? Destiny I suppose.
