– Didn't you notice anything? - was surprised and angrily said Vika. - Those drunks at the store, they were following us. Maybe they'll get to our house soon!

Hearing this, Anton quickly went to the window and carefully peeked out just at the moment when from the corner turned suspicious couple.

Now they were no longer like the village drunks, kept straight, walked at a steady pace, looking absolutely sober eyes on the sides. Apparently, they didn't know where disappeared guys. Nevertheless, they stopped right at the gate of the house where our friends were hiding. One of them cast a cautious glance at the Windows, but could hardly see beyond the curtains. Then he muttered something to his companion, and they moved on slowly.

The "old men" who entered the house looked at the children questioningly.

– What's going on here? - Igor Nikolaevich asked sternly. - What kind of circus is this? Who are you looking for?

Anton moved away from the window and pointing to Vika said: :

– Let her explain what happened, why she is afraid of some unfamiliar, not quite sober hard workers...
Igor immediately turned to the girl:

–What say you? Why did they seem suspicious to you?

– I don't know how to say it, - Vika said, hesitating. - At first, just a feeling that they appeared in the village for a reason worked. Then I was alerted by a glance thrown at me by one of the strangers. For some reason I thought there was a threat in that look.

– For drunks, slowly counting coins on the bottle, very quickly they jumped out of the store and rushed after us.

Victor with Anton at first silently exchanged glances with each other, and then at once amicably asked:

– Why didn't you tell us? Just in a hurry, as if afraid of being late!

– I was just afraid to scare them off, and you might not believe me... - sighing heavily, replied Vika.

– All right, let's have dinner, - Nina Vasilyevna called to the table, - then you will think what to be, what to do next."

For lunch all remained silent. Vika refused the rich fragrant borscht, which greatly upset Nina, and in the second one she also picked her fork, ate a little mashed potatoes and three pieces of goulash. Igor and Nina looked disapprovingly at their ward, but said nothing.

After dinner, the women washed the dishes, wiped the table, and soon the whole company sat around it. For a while everything was silent, and then Igor on the rights of older started a conversation:

– I here is thought, that about these spies need to to inform Oleg in Academy of. And if that's the case, then you young people need to go to the city for a while, and we're here to stay alone, look after the house and watch the newcomers.

– Maybe I'll stay with you? Victor suggested. - In case you need help.

– I am able to protect myself and Nina, - Igor Nikolaevich was indignant. - Yes, and dogs are such that a stranger afraid to come here, let alone try to come snooping.

With that, he rose from the table and went to his room. From behind the closed door, the rest of the group heard Igor arguing with Oleg about something.

When he reappeared in the dining room, his face was red, and his eyes were blazing.

– What's wrong? - timidly since asked Nina Vasilyevna.

– All right, - answered Igor - it's just that Oleg did not agree with the opinion on several issues. He also believed that Victor should stay here with us, but in the end I convinced him that the young should leave us alone. Allegedly they left on the coast, to splash in the sea and to sunbathe.

– In General, collect things, - he said in a calmer voice, referring to the guys -tomorrow morning you will call a taxi and take you to the Odessa apartment.

– Victor, you have to be in town anyway. You and Vika will have to answer some questions that the members of the Academy Council have. In General, be prepared!

– Always ready! - jokingly reported the young man, than to the end defused a situation in the house.

In the remaining time before dinner, they discussed the events connected with the last journey guys, tried to find the relationship between it and appearance in the village of outsiders that have an interest in Vick.

After dinner, we watched TV and went to our rooms. Soon everyone was asleep except the girl, which imagined the footsteps, the quiet voices under the window. As a result, she fell asleep only in the morning and slept no more than two hours, just before the taxi arrived. Hastily washed, she got into the car, and soon the whole trio was at the bus station. Then they bought tickets for the nearest bus...

As it turned out, so convoluted the route was devised in order to throw you off the trail of the alleged persecutors.
