Curation Report Week #02 by Team 1 – October 2023

in Steem POD Teamlast year (edited)

image.png

Hello friends, hello Steemit team!

Another interesting curation week has passed. Why interesting? Because we in the team have set ourselves an ambitious goal: no member of our team votes for the same author twice during the week. In addition, the entire team does not vote more than twice for one author per week. Thanks to this, our voices are distributed more widely, and we are constantly discovering new authors.

Problems encounter

We didn't encounter any problems this week. However, there is an interesting observation. In our work, we record the Voting CSI of each author we support. I noticed that in quite a large number of authors this indicator is "?", that is, it cannot be determined. Unfortunately, such authors rarely use their SP to interact with other authors.

At the same time, it should be noted that the above applies mainly to authors with low SP or those who suddenly appear online. We still support such authors, provided their post is of good enough quality. I hope this will inspire them to continue their activities on this platform.

Curating good comments

From time to time, an interesting discussion is started under the posts. This time we were interested in reading the discussion under the post @weisser-rabe How about a little more involvement...? We've identified a comment from @chriddi as the comment of the week, but it's too long to screenshot.

BEST PICK OF THE WEEK

Author: @neukyan
Club: #5050
Post Link: THE Diary Game - Sabtu, 07 Oktober 2023 | Aktivitas Hari Ini Saya Ngopi Bersama Dengan Seorang Kawan Seperjuangan
Nominated by: @radjasalman

I chose this post because he writes regularly even though he often doesn't get support. He remains enthusiastic and invites other Steemian to actively write. He is also active in various meet up activities held on both large and small scales. He is also diligent in keeping in touch with other steemians in everyday life. This can be seen in each of his writings. Hopefully he will continue to develop his writing skills and receive continued support in the future. - @radjasalman

Post Link: Steemit Engagement Challenge (SEC)| S12W5-Mi habilidad me ayuda
Nominated by: @edgargonzalez

The author tells us that skill is knowledge that is acquired to be able to perform one or several actions with some objective! He tells us about his experience in terms of all the skills he had to learn since he is currently a Venezuelan emigrant, who left his country 6 years ago to Chile! He explains to us that in that country life is totally different from that of Venezuelans and that he had to learn from innkeeper, blacksmith, carpenter among other skills to be able to acquire a job and get ahead, but that he still has the dream of reaching the United States. - @edgargonzalez

Since I myself really like hiking in the mountains, this time I liked the Schafbergblickhütte post. In it, the author describes the advantages of hiking in the mountains. The post is vividly illustrated with incredible mountain landscapes from Austria. - @o1eh

Author: @jebanikajeba
Club: #5050
Post Link: A Fish Seller's Lifestyle Of Our Village
Nominated by: @patjewell

The life of a fish seller who is hoping to make a profit from the fish he is selling is told in such a way by this author that it grabs your attention from the first few words and keeps you reading right to the end. A reminder to all of us that “where there is a will, there is a way.” - @patjewell

Author: @yourloveguru
Club: #75
Post Link: Steem engagement challenge-S12/W6|"The grand festival in my country."
Nominated by: @edgargonzalez

The author tells us about the celebration of the Holi festival, which is celebrated in his country India, the caul consists of a meeting of family and friends, where they paint their faces with watercolor and perform certain prebio rituals on their bodies!! It is a way that they enjoy, forget their own problems, relax and clear their minds. - @edgargonzalez

Author: @the-gorilla
Club: #100
Post Link: 🤖 Chat-GPT: The Difficulty in Producing Good Content

Nominated by: @o1eh

@the-gorilla, as always, demonstrates a non-standard approach to things. In one of his posts, he describes his own efforts to train AI to write human-style op-eds. And although the author managed to achieve a certain result, that is, to deceive the AI text verification service, Chat-GPT was not able to create really good content and made childish mistakes. In addition, the effort required to get the AI to write a more or less good post is much greater than the effort involved in writing the post independently. - @o1eh

the comment of the week, but it's too long to screenshot.

Well, maybe that's my current "time management problem": I deal too extensively with the posts and thoughts of others, instead of writing something myself, I actively read. Problem? Nope! I like it, because discussions (and good articles) only come to life when they are actively dealt with. Well... nice post, Sir... ;-)

Well... nice post, Sir... ;-)

😄

Posts without readers is a horrible world that I hope we never see. I think we're seeing more interaction now than we did two years ago when I signed up here. But this can be a subjective impression.

 last year

I think there is indeed more interaction than two years ago. However, since at least 50% of this is neither from the heart nor from convinced interest, this statistic seems slightly distorted to me. Hihi, I just have a kind of fairy tale in my head in the direction of this topic. I think I'll write it down... 😁

I just have a kind of fairy tale in my head

Although I am an adult, I still love fairy tales. Sometimes I even write them for my daughter. Therefore, I will wait for yours :)

I was just about to start, but then there were again far too many comments to be answered in my feed and articles that I "had" to respond to. Now I don't feel like sitting at the computer any more.... ;-)
