SteemClub-UK : weekly curation for music @ 18 November 2018

in #steemclub-uk6 years ago (edited)

As mentioned in my post Steem UK : 10 Things Going On with Steem in the UK @ 15 November 2018 I am keen to try out some weekly curation posts to promote content creators in the UK.

First up I am going to start with music.

My recent music hunt found 16 active steem musicians in the UK. The list is repeated below for reference - if you know any more not on the list please let me know.

Some of the 16 musicians are more active than others, but there is still plenty of good UK steem music to chose from.

I will keep this curation simple to start. I have listened to every track UK steem musicians have put out via Steemit and DSound in the past week and I have chosen five that take my fancy.

These reflect my musical preferences as much as quality of the music, but it is a start...

This steem pairing of @davidfar in Iran and @darrenclaxton in England as Broken Ocean is producing magical tracks that are making waves on the steem music scene.

Kent based Deggsy @nakedverse together with the lyrics and vocals by Alison regularly make some lovely music as Conflux.

Trance Drum and Bass is not my usual place in the musical space but this track got me mooovin...

This is a funky little track and it features train announcement samples. How could a former trainspotter resist this one...

The Turtle Project is from my neck of the woods in west Wales. I always love the vibe of his music. It just chills.

They are my five picks for the week, but I will throw in a couple more UK musical wildcards that well worth a read and an upvote...

Just make a post with Let's Sing in the title and you can get 100 Donatello Club digital cards...

Very interesting interview with Nick Harper. He is an English singer-songwriter and guitarist, son of folk musician Roy Harper and past member of the English New Wave band Squeeze.

Hope you enjoyed this first bit of UK steem curation. Do please give these posts a read and an upvote.

More curations coming shortly.

In the meantime here are all the UK steem musicians I have found so far...

Hoping to see many more musicians sign up soon. They have nothing to lose and there's great potential

You'll have one more in March ;) I'm excited to be moving to the UK soon. Maybe I'll bring a friend...

Cool. We need to put on an event some day

Definitely. That would be cool.
