A list of media personalities and their Steem accounts
It seems to me that an easy way to boost Steem's reach outside of the blockchain might be by ensuring success on the platform for people who already have an existing audience from elsewhere.

I am aware that we have had a handful of such people over the years.
Some have drifted away, but others have continued posting. Therefore, I thought it might facilitate community support if we compile and maintain a list of external influencers on the blockchain.
Here's a starting point. Who am I missing?

I'll try to post updates if/when I learn about others, so you may wish to bookmark this link and check back in the future.
I have followed the youtuber's post in steemit, his steemit account @marketreport. His discussion is related to the market, although I think sometimes he discusses a bit of controversy, but that's fine.
His real name is Gregory Mannariono, he has 214k followers on Youtube.
Here is the link youtube
Until now, he is still actively posting on steemit and youtube.
Thanks! I updated the list.
You are Wellcome bro..
A short list, there should be more names in the first list, there are people who have a great career, but they are not so influential, it all depends on the approach in which it is analyzed, but you say that others will appear, so they will have their place on the list, they deserve ,it is only my opinion
It's possible that there are others who I'm not aware of, yet.
Adam Kokesh, 260k+ YouTube subscribers
Oh yeah, I forgot he had been here. Is he still active on YouTube? I haven't heard his name in years on any platform.
Update: Just found his YouTube channel. Still active, sort-of. Most recent video 3 weeks ago.
He ran for president for the 2020 Libertarian ticket. Looks like he migrated to Hive, but has become inactive on both platforms.
It surprises me slightly that some personalities with (I don't know if these are the most accurate terms.. ) anarchist and populist angles like Joe Rogan, Russell Brand, etc are not on Steem.
I know it might be a matter of not knowing about the platform, or not understanding the social framework of blockchain tech. But they have teams of researchers, editors, marketers, community managers ... right?
Have they done the research, and decided Steem is not viable?
Yeah, I have wondered about that, too. My guess is that they've done enough research to know that Steemit exists and concluded that the audiences aren't big enough - and maybe they were turned off by the 7-day payout lifetime.
My additional guess is that they haven't researched it enough to realize some of the benefits that are unique to Steem (like the ability to direct rewards to their commenting fans with meaningful upvotes).
A project's success depends on how much people they reach. And advertising about the project is the best way to reach more people. I think this well known persons on other media can help steem a lot by bringing steem to general people. But I hoped a longer list about them. Four people is too small.
Uuuwy I didn't know you were this famous here. The presence of social media phenomena is very important for promotion. Let's make an effort to have more phenomena here.
