Previous studies by the team found that rifampicin could remove amyloid beta and tau from the brains of mice. However, the drug also has a link to side-effects, including liver damage. Luckily, resveratrol boosts the functioning of the organ. It’s a naturally occurring ingredient in wine, fruit, nuts, and chocolate — and manufacturers sell it as a food supplement.
“To combat the negative side effects of the existing drug rifampicin, we thought of combining it with the hepatoprotective effects of resveratrol,” Prof. Tomiyama says.
With our aging demographics, the problems of autism and dementia become increasingly important all around the globe. The possible advance described here has yielded promising results in animal testing and is now being queued up for human trials.

Nasal spray could cure dimentia!!! It must be an amazing invention in medical science.
Nasal spray is used daily by millions of people. In winter season its use increases to a big extent. I also use nasal spray daily. But I feel some alergic problem when I use antazol. I hope this new invention be good for use.
Side effects are always the problem with each drug. It is true that as we age, our brains also have a change in our body and I say this for my father that as the years go by he becomes more stubborn.
About dementia, I have seen it constantly, most of the people who are already over 70 years of age usually talk alone or with themselves aloud. My grandmother went through that, it is good to see that there are medicines that can be of help to combat dementia.
