Hello friends,

It's so good to have steemit Engagement Challenge back for season 7. This is week one and I know that the beginning of every thing matters, so I do not want to miss the first week for any reason. Happy new year once again.

Economic-diarygames tells us so much about the activities carried out by individuals in respect to several transactions and business and many more. Today I will share with you about my Experience with failed transaction.

The sound of my phone alarm woke me up as early as 5:30 in the morning. As soon as I stretch my hands to switch the alarm off, a phone call came in. The call was from a lady I was suppose to pay 20,000 thousand naira which approximately 200 steem. Last week Thursday I bought some items worth 34,000 thousand naira which is approximately 340 steem I paid for the item via bank app transfer and I was debited but the two persons I made the transfer to didn't get credited.

I thought it was a network problem do I told them they will get their money. It's been almost a week now and they have still not gotten an alert. One of them went to her bank on Monday and she was told the issue was from my bank. This was the reason why she was calling me so early in the morning to inform me she went to her bank. I knew this was now serious so I decided to visit my bank and make a complain.

I got to the bank and the crowd I met there really discouraged me. But because of the amount of money involved, I was patient enough to wait. The queue at the bank was much because Mondays in the east are usually sit at home days. No economic activity happens. At the bank, I waited for several hours. Infact at a point, they shared numbers to us and people were called by the numbers picked to be attended to.

After waiting for 4 hours it got to my turn and I was moved into an office to wait for a while because they were some person's before me. One of the women who is one of the costumer service personel asked me what issue I have. After narrating my experience with my bank failed transaction, she took me too an office were such issues are settled.

It was my turn, and I was attended to. The customer service said their system network was not connecting to report my case. She gave me a phone number to call, there and then I called the number and I reported the issue. On the phone I was told that it will take a total of two days for either the money to reverse back to me or for the money to get back to the person I set it to. I was a bit relieved so I left the bank.

On my way home, when I got to the junction, I realized I was hungry and have not eaten I saw a woman who sells roasted yam and Jollof beans by the road side. It looked so well prepared and the aroma of the beans made it irresistible for me. I stopped by to buy from her. I bought yam and beans worth 500 naira which is 5 steemand the take away plate for 100 naira which is 10 steem. In total o spent 110 steem for food.

I saw a bike man willing to take me home at a reduced cost. Lately fuel increase in price has affected cost of everything especially transportation. I paid him 500 naira which is 50 steem before the cost of transport to that same destination was just 100 naira which is 10 steem

Hello friend @ruthjoe, what an unpleasant experience not knowing what happened to your money and that it was debited from your account.

The queues at the bank are very long, four hours of waiting. I can imagine the number of people there and I imagine that the banking system was slow.

Good thing they gave you positive answers, now you have to follow up. Regards.

First I must say thank you for stopping by here..

It was really frustrating at the bank, that one of the reasons why I want cryptocurrency transactions to be used as a means of payment for business.

Well am following the matter up and I was told it will be verified in two days. This was a transaction I made last week Thursday.

Failed transactions can be so frustrating sometimes, imagine if it was that you bought things from an outsider and did a transfer only for you to experience this, I only hope banks rectify all these errors now that the withdrawal amount has been limited. Thank you for sharing.

It's great to hear that you are participating in the steemit Engagement Challenge for season 7! Your experience with the failed transaction sounds frustrating, but it's good to hear that you were able to resolve the issue with the help of the bank. It's also interesting to hear about how the increased cost of fuel is affecting transportation prices. Your post gives a detailed account of your day and the different economic activities you were involved in. Keep up the good work and I look forward to reading more of your posts in the future.

Having a failed bank transaction is very unpleasant to experience. Most times, it takes more than the 2 working days to sort the matter, but I pray this really get sorted as soon as possible.

The price of fuel right now is terrible. It has affected almost everything in Nigeria.

I enjoyed reading your post ma @ruthjoe
