SLC S21W2 | Learn how to apply your skin makeup correctly.
Hello dear Friends...!
I hope you are doing well...
I'm excited to participate in the second week of the Season 21 Learning Challenge course. It was wonderful to read about and learn the different color-correcting shades and to know how the products are used in a skin makeup look. I truly admire the effort put in by @almacaridad to show the blending techniques, especially around the eyes, and how it should be blended down to the neck to make it an even tone for both the face and the neck.
Thank you so much for your guidance and it's great to be a part of it.
Here are my answers for the tasks to be performed:
💄 Did you know that there are so many shades of concealers for the skin? In addition to those mentioned, what other shades exist and what use is given to each of them. 01 point.
In addition to Green, Pink, and Orange color-correcting concealers, there are a few other shades that can be used to avoid an uneven, ashy finish. They are:
Yellow - Yellow color-correcting concealers help cancel out the purple undertones and also help to brighten up the really dark spots on the face.
Purple/lavender - The purple color corrector helps to neutralize the warmer, yellow-tanned areas on the face.
Peach - peach color corrector can be used on lighter skin tones to neutralize the under-eye dark circles.
💄 Did you have all the necessary products to carry out this practice or did you have to acquire new ones or solve with others that had a similar function? 01 point.
I have always had the essential products for a light makeup look. It's always important to have some makeup on hand to go for any occasion and look your best. I don't really like going to salons, because I sometimes feel the make-up is either too heavy or not in the shades that suit my tone. So, I prefer doing it on my own. I'm happy with the outcome I achieved using my simple knowledge of make-up.
Make-up is never a waste for those who love to stay pretty always. I believe most girls nowadays have their own make-up products and love getting dolled up.
Today for this practice, I had all the products except a color corrector. So, I will use my red lipstick as a color corrector that gives a similar function to remove my dark circles around the eyes.
💄 They say that the quality of the makeup makes a notable difference in the results obtained when comparing a makeup in which replicas or economic products have been used and another in which original products have been used; what is your opinion. 01 point.
It's true to a certain extent because the original products offer better coverage, which creates a flawless makeup look. Whereas, the economic product or replicas may not be of the same quality and show a high-definition finish. High-end products often provide better pigmentation that suits a variety of skin tones and also have smoother, skin-like applications. They also tend to last long leaving no crease marks. And most importantly it is less likely to harm the skin.
Replicas, however, can be different on the application; they might look cakey if not properly used. It's necessary to patch-test these products beforehand because using replicas might cause various skin allergies. And it may oxidize faster than a quality makeup product. But they can be very cost-effective and great for day-to-day use.
💄For this answer you must show us the way you like your step by step of skin makeup and tell us how your experience was in this first practical class. 07 points
Here is a quick look at my step-by-step skin makeup. I'm not a professional but I love doing makeup myself. Pls, ignore any faults.
Step 01
Prep my skin - It is important to prep the skin using the skincare products, before applying any makeup product on the skin. then I use the primer of the same foundation brand. It's always the base that helps to achieve a more natural look.
Step 02
Color correcting and Concealing - I use red lipstick as the color corrector to remove my stubborn dark circles and concealer to cover up blemishes on the skin. And then blend the colors to make an even skin tone.
Step 03
Contouring and highlighting - I add shape to my face by using my light brown contour stick and at the same time I use a highlighter to lift the areas I need.
Step 04
Foundation - I use the foundation that suits my skin tone and blends it evenly on my skin. Before applying it to my face, I take the foundation to the back of my hand and leave to make it a little warm with my body heat. It makes it easy for smoother application.
Step 05
Powder - I use my powder to set the foundation.
Step 06
Blush - Then I add blush to enhance the look.
This is my final look at the skin makeup, I have not added any filters. This is how it really looks after using all the above-mentioned products.
I enjoyed participating in the first practical class. It was great to practice and try out new looks on the face. Doing Step by step made me really achieve a more defining makeup look. Here is my poster with username and date in a selfie with my final look.

You're right, now more than ever, almost every girl has makeup products. I also often buy makeup products and apply makeup to myself and others. Anyway you look pretty after makeup. Good luck with your engagement challenge.
