Art Explained By A Writer - Portrait of A Woman (1870)

art review 1807(2).jpg

So this is her?
Yes.
You painted her in daylight?
Indeed
Interesting scenery
You think so? Thank you for your compliment I feel flattered
Hmmm

Florent-willems-woman(1).jpg

She is religious
How did you guess
I noticed the cross above the bed
Oh, right, I forgot I painted it
Nothing else decorating those walls?
No, not that I could see
Did you keep your eyes closed or were you focused on the model?
You like her?

Is she ill?
No, what makes you think that?
She looks pale and it seems as if she just got out of bed
Shared the blankets although...
Although what?
Her hair is done very neatly and not one crinkle in what she wears.

It's a brand-new night dress, I... she just put it on
I see that explains the pulling up of the stockings and the shoe on the carpet.
But it's daytime, right?
Yes, I already told you that.

Naughty, naughty boy
Come one, it was ten years ago
Trust me she didn't notice me.

May I introduce you to my wife Sophie?

Hello are you fine dear Mrs @wakeupkitty 🤗💞
It's a well taken picture, my question is, if they are waking up now, how come they have such fresh hair, it looks like they just got their hair done. I wonder where you get this mystical style of writing, I also like to write like this, it requires a lot of real and mystical knowledge.
🤔

The hair.. that's what I wonder about as well. If I watch a film everyone always looks great no matter when they wake up, make up included. It makes one wonder if they ever sleep. So what I see in films and what I wonder about I write down about in my text. It's all a mix of what I see and think.
My advice? Write, write and write and don't think first what to write about.

Yes, you are right dear.

A Happy New Year art(ists) and writers

Hello, dear Kitty.
Your lyrics fit perfectly with deep house; I just edited a few parts and added a chorus. I think the song will be ready around January 3-4.

Yesterday, I thought that rhythmically, it somewhat resembles Japanese poetry or Asian poetry in general. So, I got curious and wanted to ask where you are from and what nationality you are? Today, I saw that you signed as Kitty Wu, and that seems like a Chinese surname. But making assumptions that you are Japanese or Chinese based on that would probably be a bit of simplistic linear logic, so I decided just to ask you directly.

The first element for the music video:

I love it. Don't cut my hair because I don't like short. LOL

Wow you are fast and the new year didn't even start! First of all: A great 2025, let's try to make the best out of it.

I am from a mixed family and my nationality is Dutch, not that it is accepted by most Dutch people and although I was born in the country they always treated like like a foreigner.
Next to Dutch, there's Surinam, Indonesian and Chinese so your bit of assumptions aren't that wrong.

Thanks for the warm wishes! I hope 2025 brings many good things for both of us, happy New Year.

It's interesting to learn about your diverse heritage. Sorry if my assumptions were a bit off, but I’m glad they weren’t too far from reality. Though, I didn’t realize you live in the Netherlands. It’s not that far from Ukraine when you think of it on a global scale.

Diversity is one of humanity's main resources, and mixing genes often results in unique looks or interesting personalities. I also have mixed ancestry: about 5/8 Ukrainian, and about 1/8 Kazakh, Scandinavian, and (unfortunately) 1/8 Russian. I haven’t done any genetic tests, but I came up with these approximate numbers based on what I know of my ancestors up to my great-great-grandparents.

I don't think you should say "unfortunately" we are who we are and there's no reason to feel ashamed about DNA. I gave up a long time ago about feeling ashamed about anchestors or what/whomever. I am not them and I never knew them and if it comes to it I am nowhere accepted. I've been always seen as the dirty foreigner with gypsy looks blah blah and my children have been scolded and told to leave to their own country (trust me they are blond).

If I cross a border I always receive dirty looks and the last time I took the Flixbus they doubted my children were mine. I had that before on the airport as we arrived back from Africa in the Netherlands. The guy told me I should take along the birth certificate of my children! In the end they received a visa stamp in their passport to make up the guys bad behaviour. His excuse was I could have kidnapped them. Sure... I travel to Africa to kidnap blond children and take the plane and arrive on the Airport Amsterdam.

The only friendly people I met in Austria were Italian LOL

My daughter puzzled about the family tree but I don't care. I just know what my grandparents told and of course, now it turns out to be true).
Kind of funny: a grandmother said that she was descended from Charlemagne. So I answered: Certainly from one of his concubines.
BTW, it turns out to be true and in a direct line, my child told me and has the proof. I assume there's nothing left to inherit?

My grandmother, she didn't answer then but I can still see her bitter face and her thoughts. Her brother had studied history and was a writer. It was also funny that he co-wrote the Dutch History book that I had in primary school. I am still looking for that book but it has been taken out of circulation. History has changed and much has been erased and in this way, we are slowly being robbed of the last bit of identity. I think that is the biggest problem that humanity suffers from. You don't have to know everything and you don't have to be responsible for what others do but culture and history are important and part of our identity. Man is an oddball, my grandmother always said or: our dear Lord has strange borders. In that, she was right in any case.

A happy new year to you and I believe in arranging my own luck and so should you. For sure that works out unless I drop dead which I hope won't happen since finally it's the year of the Snake (and the lucky dragon year hasn't ended yet).

Have a super great day!

Thank you for such a detailed response, dear Kitty Wu.
I felt that this is a painful topic for you, so I consciously won’t continue it.

Instead, I will switch to something positive. Namely: on January 3rd, "Wake up, Kitty" will be ready. I’ve been working on it very passionately all these days, and today I’ve been working all night (it’s 4:20 AM here in Ukraine, and I haven’t gone to bed yet. I’m not sure I will sleep at all today. That’s pretty usual for me; music energizes me too much). I think one more day will be enough for me to finish.

The main point of why I’m writing about this right now: Are you on Facebook? I think it would be appropriate if I tag you as the lyricist when I upload the track (of course, only if you want and don't mind).

In any case, have a great day! :)
