Adsactly History - Marilyn and Mr. President: A real love or a legend?
Marilyn and Mr. President: A real love or a legend?
In this publication we will talk about two people who were very famous and important. At this point, I don't think there is anyone who doesn't know Marilyn Monroe, the actress, the sex symbol, the blonde who became an icon of beauty and sexuality. A woman who died young, so we never saw her grow old and therefore her youth and beauty became eternal. And on the other hand, J. F. Kennedy, we know that he was the thirty-fifth president of the United States, the youngest president; his leadership and personality made him one of the most popular American presidents. His death early and in full force, like Marilyn's, is not very clear.
It is said that Marilyn's love life was very intense and stormy, so much so that she had four marriages and thousands of lovers, many of them filming partners, but it is also said that her vulnerability and sensitivity made her easy prey to vague relationships without much future that left her more empty and desolate at the end. On the other hand, Kennedy is said to have been a hardened womanizer, that his wife, Jackie Kennedy, always knew about her husband's extramarital relations, but always told him not to humiliate her or expose her to the media and to keep his relations secret.
It was with this panorama that these two great figures of universal history met. It is said that the first time they met, she was already a star and he was still a senator; that the two went with their respective partners, he with Jackie and she went with the husband of that moment, the famous Joe DiMaggio. It is said that she put in one of his pockets a piece of paper with an address and her telephone number. From that moment, supposedly, they would begin a romance that was known by many, but that many also, after Marilyn's death tried to hide and erase from history.
Among some versions that can be gathered from many investigations, we can highlight the following:
Marilyn and John's first love nest was the Holiday House Motel on California's Malibu beach. They spent the last night together at the Carlyle Hotel in Manhattan, after a reception at the home of Arthur Krim, treasurer of the Democratic Party, which closed the memorable evening in which Marilyn sang the lascivious "Happy birthday" to "The Prez", as she affectionately called him, on the occasion of his 45th birthday.
The moment that they mention and that has transcended in time, and that nobody of the Kennedy government could erase, perhaps because it faced more than 15 thousand people and in New York's Madison Square Garden, is the moment in which Marilyn wore a beige silk gauze dress adorned with glass incrustations and so tight that she had to be sewn in to the dress, appears singing with a hoarse and sensual voice what they would later call Happy Birthday, Mr. President. That night, Marilyn not only raised controversy with the way in which she sang the birthday to the president, those in attendance say it was like watching her make love to Kennedy, but also because her dress was falling apart in pieces because of how tight it was and exposed her intimate parts, since she had decided not to wear lingerie. If no one knew, this event would become a reason to confirm what everyone already knew, but no one dared to say out loud: Marilyn and John were in a relationship.
After this, there are only speculations and information found: that Marilyn asked John to leave his wife; that she became so obsessed with him that she even called Jackie and told him about her relationship with her husband; it is even said that Jackie herself asked her John to leave his affair with the actress or else she would ask for a divorce; It is also said that Marilyn also maintained relations with the president's brother, Robert; it was even said that she was a danger to Kennedy's aspirations for re-election, since she herself, when she got drunk or used drugs, boasted of having a relationship with the president and that she had many communist friends. Supposedly, in one of the actress's calls to the White House two months before her death, one of John's closest men asked her not to call any more and to realize that it had only been a pasttime for the president.
We wouldn't have to be smart to imagine the damage these words did to the actress, who, as we've said, was insecure, unstable and susceptible. Days after that episode, on June 8, she was officially fired by 20th Century Fox. Her career was also over. Another hard blow to an already broken soul.
On the night of Saturday, August 4 of that same year, after 11 p.m., Marilyn Monroe was found unconscious in the bedroom of her home in California. Although it is said that she was taken to the hospital and after an hour died, some versions say that when she was found, she was already dead. It is also said that the crime scene was maneuvered before the police arrived and that the thanatologist found no remains of barbiturates in the stomach, which he found empty; but according to the communication they gave to the press, it was said that she had taken 40 capsules of Nembutal and that she had died from an overdose. As a result of Marilyn's death, a star dies and the relationship that could have existed between the actress and the president, but a speculation is born that up until today has not been able to be proved: Marilyn could be assassinated at the request of the Kennedys.
Finally, when we read about these two highly loved and admired characters, who have become popular figures, we are going to find that thousands of books have been written that supposedly speak of the true relationship that existed between them. The only thing we can say is that what they lived, what they shared and went with them, who died so early. Loves of this kind, in environments as full of power as politics and Hollywood, have their days numbered and a script already done.

This will continue to be one of the extramarital love relationships (so to speak) of the public world of the twentieth century more treated, especially by the end of Marilyn Monroe. There is no doubt in my mind that the relationship existed; what we can't prove are its details.
Marilyn Monroe was a very intense woman and maybe it's her part that I find most interesting. I will always remember the poem dedicated to her by the poet Ernesto Cardenal: "Prayer for Marilyn Monroe", which in one of its verses says: "The film ended without the final kiss". Thank you for your very well written and illustrated post, @nancybriti.
I love this article, this controversial and controversial romance, full of so many things and doubts, it's hard not to want to know more. I believe there was a relationship but politics and higher interests got in and destroyed everything quickly.
A romance of which there is no proof that it existed, but of which everyone has spoken and continues to speak. These romances between famous personalities are always shrouded in mystery and speculation. Unfortunately, Marilyn was an emotionally weak woman, despite transmitting the opposite, who took to her grave the truth of her affair or not with the president. Thank you for your publication @nancybriti. Thank you @adsactly for sharing it.
Bright posts
Posts that always give us an overview and insight. A relationship that is done by humans is certainly inseparable from human nature itself. Everyone must be passionate and not obedient to anyone. Including between these two American celebrities, the relationship between the actress and a president becomes a great story because these two figures are famous figures. And we also know that behind fame will always be tucked into a lonely life. that's why many popular figures have their own problems.
on Marilyn Monroe even to the death was still filled with mysteries between ove doses and alleged conspiracy.
While JFk died from being shot. Also there is still a lot of speculation developing.
These are all forms of life between the two people you describe. A useful article.

Why does Marilyn look so much like Jaqueline?
Thinking on this more, this entire story of Marilyn and Kennedy sounds like a hollywood script.
It is a story to tell the deplorables.
If you listen to stories of parties with top athletes or really rich executives, it is about women, often wearing nothing, or next to nothing, who are all down to fuck.
The wealthy have women throwing themselves at them all the time. Often literally. Read some of the writings by chip-n-dale dancers.
So, this story above, about a dress falling apart, etc, is only a story for us plebs. Nothing like that happened.
