Let it snow! - Batumi becomes a winter wonderland

This New Year was exceptional in Georgia’s Adjara region and its capital Batumi. On December 31st 2015 it started to snow nonstop and by the end of the day the whole coastal region was covered in white fluffy coating. The amazing photos depicting Batumi’s streets, landmarks and the coast have gone viral on social media. Although it is considered a summer resort, many people, after seeing such a beauty, headed to celebrate New Year in Batumi. It was one of the biggest snowfalls on record in Georgia’s coastal capital and that is why it caused such an excitement among the locals.
