You Control Less than You Think
Many of you will be aware of the current market situation: Bitcoin is trading under $8000, Dow Jones and S&P 500 making new market low records.
People like us who own both of these investments, what should we do?
Sell? Hell No!
As Warren Buffet says there are two rules of investing:
- Never lose money
- Always remember Rule No. 1
First of all, we (average investor) don't have much control over the market, we can't add value to our favorite coins or share.
All we can do is gather as much as information about our investments, read the balance sheets, learn about the new coins or existing coins.
Never ever invest because "everybody is doing so" or because of FOMO. Invest when you feel like you are getting the stuff at the right price.
There's a classic example: A man went to a real state broker, he was not sure about the property but he bought it anyway. Why? Real state agent said, "An investor banker from New York liked it, what about you?"
The man bought the property because of FOMO which cost him few extra thousands.
You control less than you think, by watching Stock and Bitcoin prices 100 times a day won't change anything. When the market is high, hold when the market is bleeding buy more to average the price(if are sure about the value).
You can control what's going into your brain, so feed it with right knowledge and information and stop caring about the things you can't control.
