RE: A puzzle: What's going on here?

I also have no idea about the exact reason conjugation. An agreement has been reached to reduce the inflation rate. (Witnesses)
Delegation withdrawal does not matter. because the prize pool is fixed.

Sort:

The prize pool isn't really fixed. I don't understand the exact rules in play, but we have seen after previous hard forks that the rewards settle into a sort of equilibrium based upon the volume of posting and voting.

I think @moecki confirmed the reason for the decline here, but in principle, I think that the rewards pool might be impacted during the time when delegations are locked up, pending return to the delegator.

It's an interesting fact... and probably possible if many delegations are removed.

But in this case, it is rather not the reason. rme, for example, had no incoming delegation. And there would have to have been a lot of delegations to explain the decline.

Yeah, I agree that it's definitely not the case here, and it would have to be a huge delegation. I see a similar difference with the burn statistics from the API vs. burn statistics from steemdb.io, so in this case, I'm confident that there's something funny going on with steemdb.io.

(Incidentally, with your link to steemworld, I was able to discover an unrelated problem with my PowerBI report for burned statistics, so thank you for that. I'm working on redoing some of those visualizations, so between that and the steemdb.io problems, I guess I won't have a burned token report for this week.)
