Porsche Boxster Refreshment & Hommage to Roberto Mercuri

in #carmakeup7 years ago

My company is friendly and giving me a Boxster S as a business car. I have to attend lots of appointments in Europe to which I often use the car. So every year I am doing around 50.000 KM or 30.000 miles.

Actually I have made more than 200.000 KM with my 2013 Boxster. I’ve picked it up at the Porsche factory in Stuttgart/Germany. No other driver. It’s still running as it did at the first day. No problems yet, just a new GPS and one part of the air intake of the engine. All covered by warranty.

But... the painting got a bit used. So I’ve decided to take the vehicle to a professional painting doc. Luckily I’ve found some very enthusiastic articles in some classic car review magazines about a guy who has magic hands to change a used paintwork to a new one: Roberto Mercuri.

So I’ve made an appointment and left my car for two days at Roberto’s place. The result is astonishing: the painting looks like new.

Before: painting still ok, but a bit rough
