The man can't sleep remembering a shadow he thinks he saw when he entered the house. He tosses and turns for a long time until he decides to go and investigate.
He first has to resolve the issue of his missing glasses, so he takes his car keys and drives to the drugstore to buy some cheap replacement glasses.
He then returns to the house and goes to the kitchen for another glass of water. While he is drinking he sees the shadow again from the corner of his eye. He turns and sees the ghost of his wife standing right beside him.
In a moment of surprise he says: "you made it back!" And to this she replies: "how could i not? I will never leave your sight for as long as you live"
...this was not comforting for the man. He wonders if he will ever be able to get a good night sleep again.
