What crying does to a baby

How does a crying baby make you feel as a mum or dad? I bet most would say it makes them want to carry and cuddle the baby straight away. Hmmm, nice one but I have some information for you. Child psychologists have suggested that a baby has to cry at least once a day to allow sufficient air into their lungs. Crying for a baby gives way for enough air into the lungs and can aid the development of internal organs. As a parent, I would not want to see my baby crying and turn away. There are some exceptional cases where you can confirm that the baby isn't hungry or wet with a number 1 or 2 and that the baby is comfortable. In such a situation, I would allow some crying before attending to the baby since I know that crying can be a useful action for growth and development. No wonder babies who do not cry at birth are given the finger whacking to get them to cry and open their tiny mouths for some air. They are such adorable creatures.
