Have you ever been to the country they call Utopia?

in #contest7 years ago

Here begins the story of Sorena, a girl who was born on May 22, 1984, in a beautiful land, where everything was perfect, had the best family composed of her father, her mother, two grandparents and her siblings, grew up in a family full of values, principles and with many traditions, all the Decembers were beautiful, they met to make the hallacas listening to bagpipes, painted the house and placed the Christmas decorations, the 24 to 12 at night arrived San Nicolás with their gifts and the children waited anxiously dressed in their premieres, they were all very close, it felt that Christmas spirit, on weekends it was customary to share with family and neighbors, in the holidays Sorena and her family were going on a trip to the beach or other beautiful places in that country.

Her country was rich in oil and other important minerals, the economy was prosperous characteristics of a developing country, there were many sources of employment, people lived at ease, they did not lack anything, there was no crime, nor scarcity, governments they worked with ends to continue prolonging the happiness of her nation, there was no corruption, with the salary her father earned they could buy everything they needed, they gave their tastes and they were able to save.

She grew up in an environment where tranquility, peace and love reigned, she went with her mother to the plaza every afternoon to meet her friends where they skated and ate ice cream, it was a happy atmosphere, the laughter of the children encouraged the place.

This was a perfect place in the world, this was Venezuela where everyone who came did not want to leave this land. This can be considered a utopia since this is the story of a country that in its past was very beautiful, where the people who lived there were happy, a generous, prosperous country, where its people were proud to be there, that country It was Venezuela many years ago, before the arrival of socialism, it was a very promising country, many people came from other parts to seek refuge in it, since they did not lack anything, which has many beautiful landscapes and economy was excellent , they were very happy and they did not know, they never imagined what was going to happen, seeing their relatives leave to other lands to look for a better future has been one of the most difficult situations they have ever experienced, this although it seems like a horror movie or a nightmare, it is real life, it is unfortunate to realize that a government ended up with the perfect place of many people, here you can see how people are going through needs and living in extreme poverty, see how they are doing dying for the lack of medicines is something unforgivable, seeing how values have been lost, principles and even dignity is something very sad, saving your dreams and your life in a small suitcase is the option that Sorena has taken to leave that place that was once perfect for her to look for a better future.

Hi @edgarirebeca! I must say to you, that the countries are made by their people, not their governments.

I'm from Mexico, and though we passed very harsh times a few decades ago, during the dictatorship of the PRI, the feeling of people prevailed, and finally democracy triumphed!

I'm sure you'll go back to your own Utopia. Since I created my own Steemit account a few days ago (yeah, still pretty new here), I've had the opportunity to know a looot of things about Venezuela and their great people and culture. So, I must say to you, hang in there, because the feeling of people will always prevail!

Cheers!
