Understanding TAGS and its Importance – Coolector’s Tips and Tricks

Before continuing, let me start with a sincere thank you for my previous post. The attention it got is deeply appreciated :)
Now, on with the main topic – TAGS!
A lot of people may not realize this, but ”Tags” plays an important role in the Steemit community because:
• It Improve a post’s visibility via the “Search” function
• It organizes and segregate posts according to topics
Ok little girl, just don’t play with matches
The first bullet simply means that when you search a certain Tag in the search button, all posts that used that particular Tag will appear. For instance, if your post is about dogs, and used the tag “dog”, your post might appear when someone search for dogs in the search function.
As for the second bullet, if your post is about cats, and you use “dogs” for your tags, all hell will break loose (kidding). Obviously, Tags are there to organize posts properly. The community has thousands of members and just imagine if bulk of the members will not use it properly – Chaos I tell you, CHAOS!!!!!!
Some are passionate or overly protective of it
Yup, it’s true. Some tags are used to represent a group.
For instance, the tag #steemph is a group of Filipino community members. Although there is no written rule of prohibiting a user from using a certain tag, cordiality dictates otherwise. Besides, if a controlled group is quite passionate with their group’s tag/name, improper use of it may be pointed out by members of that particular group.
So just to keep the peace, rules, and proper arrangement – just use the correct tags for your post.

Korek k jan jikz! Just use the proper tags. And you can create your own tags para sa mga ibat ibang hilig mo, pra safe ✌
