I just realized through this that the vast majority of those new users loaned Steem Power (probably myself also) are going to crash hard once the one month window elapses.
50 Steem Power as minimum for being able to continue using this site?? I've hardly accumulated 3 SP in 2 weeks...
I know that this departs from the original post's topic but I would really like to know whether I am understanding this wrong.
My advice, which is the common answer, is to find quality posts, read & understand them and leave comments that show you actually read the posts and that add to the dialog. You'll get rewards and followers that way. People who leave spammy shit comments either get ignored or the posters get fed up and flag them into oblivion. It's a workable system. Also, at a little over 2 months in, I've still got at least 45 SP delegated in my wallet. I'm not sure exactly how that delegated SP gets calculated though.

Thank you kindlyfor the guidance @theblindsquirl.
If you still have some delegated SP after 2 months then maybe the devs anticipated that this wil be a problem.
Quite agreed with your points. Being active and mindful are the ways forward.
