Great job Chris, the public need to know what's going on in ETH and why the price has been going down...
why is no one really talking about this?
I really don't think many people realize what forks are in general.
Add to the fact that Vitalik is trying to hardfork into PoS Ethereum while simultaneously rendering the prior PoW chain useless, making a full swap over without having something like another Ethereum Classic.
This prevents a host of problems, but it's also much more difficult to coordinate, it seems.

The fact that Vitalik is recognizing the problem probably is a good indicator that a solution would be worked out as he continues to have the backing of most of the community so whatever he suggests, will probably be done. Scary that it demonstrates the centralized power there still but at least good that something would be done to secure the long term viability of the protocol.
