Crypto Predictions: What Could Be Worth Investing In in 2018

in #cryptocurrency7 years ago

I'm a woman of stats and I love doing my research before jumping to conclusions.
So whatever I say, please verify it, as this is just my opinion backed by a few sources.

One of my favourite topics of discussion whenever I attend an event related to tech, startups, and the blockchain is what could be worth looking into in 2018.

Okay, so everyone is aware of Bitcoin (+ variations), Ethereum (+ variations), Litecoin, Ripple, and others in top 10.

Recently, there have been plenty of speculations on Stellar and OMG, and you see entrepreneurs such as Tai Lopez bringing people to his podcast to support these two.

The Merkle mentions the following as potential diamonds in the rough:
"RaiBlocks continues to impress, up 17.63% in 24 hours at US$11.10. At the beginning of this month, RaiBlocks was trading at just US$0.20.

There are a few other notable 24-hour gainers in the top 100, including KuCoin Shares (+41.86%), Byteball Bytes (+19.86%), and SALT (+9.24%)."

Qtum is on my list, too.
Qtum (Quantum) is looking to push mobile blockchain development to new levels and its use of Bitcoin’s UTXO, which will allow smart contracts to be executed from light wallets (nodes not syncing the entire blockchain) on mobile devices.

Time will tell if Qtum’s dApps are ready for the mobile age. And if they can keep their promise.

Aeternity has had a decent healthy evolution in the past year, and is now trading at $1.34. The company is now in its Security Audit phase. The micropayments function might work well for the gig economy (ride sharing business models, freelancing marketplaces etc.).
We'll have to see.

OST (Simple Token) is in top #300, and advancing. This one promises a system and a technology itself, and seeing how dedicated and involved these people were in their ICO and pre-sale, it might gain some serious advantage in the following months.

There are a few ICOs I have my eyes on, but that's not related to the subject.

What do you think will be the diamonds in the rough in terms of cryptocurrency in 2018?
