Alat Musik ‘Bangsi Alas’
merupakan instrumen tiup dari bambu yang berasal dari daerah Alas, Aceh Tenggara. Secara tradisional Bangsi dibuat berkaitan dengan adanya yang meninggal dunia di desa tersebut. Apabila ada yang meninggal dunia, Bangsi dihanyutkan di sungai. Lalu Bangsi yang hanyut diikuti terus sampai diambil oleh anak-anak. Bangsi yang telah ditemukan anak-anak dirampas lagi oleh si pembuat. Bangsi ini nantinya yang dipakai sebagai Bangsi dengan suaranya yang merdu. Juga ada jenis Bangsi yang dimiliki oleh orang-orang kaya yang sering dilapisi dengan perak atau suasa.

When one dies, Bangsi is carried away in the river. Then the drifting Bangsi followed followed until taken by the children. Bangsi that the children have found has been confiscated by the maker. Bangsi is later used as Bangsi with a melodious voice. There is also a type of Bangsi owned by rich people who are often coated with silver or suasa.
