Namo Shetkari Mahasanman Nidhi Yojana: On the lines of the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana of the Central Government, Maharashtra has formally started the Namo Shetkari Mahasanman Nidhi Yojana from today. Like the Rs 6,000 they get from the Centre, farmers will now also get Rs 6,000 from the state.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday gave a gift to the farmers of Maharashtra before Diwali. He started the Namo Shetkari Mahasamman Nidhi Yojana made by the state government. Also, under this, the first installment of Rs 2,000 each was transferred to the farmers. By pressing the button, the Prime Minister transferred about Rs 1720 crore to the bank accounts of 85 lakh 60 thousand farmers of the state. This money reached the bank accounts of the beneficiaries. A program was organized in Shirdi to transfer the money. In which a large number of farmers were present. The state government told in the program that a provision has been made to spend Rs 6900 crore under the Namo Shetkari Mahasamman Nidhi Scheme in 2023-24.

The Prime Minister said that earlier no one used to take care of the farmers. We started PM Kisan Scheme. Under which Rs 2 lakh 60 thousand crores have been given to small farmers. Out of that, Rs 26000 crore has been transferred directly to the bank accounts of farmers of Maharashtra. Under this, farmers are getting Rs 6-6 thousand annually. I am happy that the Maharashtra Government has started the Namo Shetkari Mahasamman Nidhi Scheme.
