I believe the Grey surname is a play off of Dorian Gray, the character in Wilde's story of the same name. The forever beautiful, dominant, young male role. A bit cheeky for my tastes as it's unoriginal, but others like it!
Oh interesting, never made the connection between Dorian Grey and Christian Grey!
