Asian food market & restaurant - OISOI

OISOI - FOOD MARKET AND RESTAURANT - Sheffield

I recently visited the OISOI restaurant in Sheffield, UK for a quick bite to eat. I have never been here before but I thought I'd give it a try. I have been to many countries in Asia and my wife is South Korean so we are pretty well experienced in Asian food.

OISOI is really easy to find, it is in the centre of Sheffield and there is a indoor car park just around the corner. Plus there are many coffee shops, so after you can buy a cheeky coffee!

We visited OISOI on a Saturday around 3pm and there were around 20 people eating. It is very clean and the staff are very friendly. I also checked out the toilets and they got my stamp of approval too.

From the above menu, you can see the prices are really reasonable and have a good selection of food from across Asia.
I have been to Thailand before, so I thought I'd give the Thai Red Curry a try and my wife had the Classic Singapore Vermicelli for the main meal and fried pork Gyoza for starters.
The pork Gyoza kinda looked like they where cooked from frozen from a Chinese supermarket and not prepared on-site, but they still nice.

We did not have to wait a long time for the mains to arrive and we was not disappointed.

Thai Red Curry
It was a little different than what I have had before in Thailand and Australia. The vegetables are cut really chunky, kind of reminded me of a big soup we have in Yorkshire. But It was really nice and the actual curry was very tasty. Great comfort food.

Classic Singapore Vermicelli

I was craving for noodles with seafood but couldn't decide to which one to get. So I just went for a wait staff' recommendation and glad I did! This noodle dish had full of curry-like flavours(mild) and it was slightly spicy as it had chopped chilli in it. I normally can't handle too spicy food but this one was fine. It also had decent amount of fresh seafood(king prawns and squid). Overall, flavourful and yummy! -the wifey

Conclusion
The overall experience at OISOI was very good and the food was excellent. I would recommend to anyone who loves Asian food.
