RE: Eating like a king at Mi Vida Café & Burger in Puerto Rico

Really funny price if you compare that to our currency.

😞 I know. Prices here and in the United States are ridiculous. This meal was “cheap” compared to what I am used to paying. I want to live some place where the cost of living/food is much lower.
Okay let me give you an idea the equivalent of those to my country Philippines.
If you buy those outside a mall below is the equivalent.
Smoothie - $5 ( 4 smoothies in my country)
Empanada - $3 ( 3 empenadas)
Burger - $ $9 = (3 burgers)
Quesadilla - $ 9 = (sorry not sure about this one)
I guess the reason the price is high because you bought them inside a mall?
or a well known food & beverage restaurant? am I right?
WOW! That is so much cheaper. I am jealous.
No I bought at a very small cafe. For some reason everything is exspensive in my part of the world.
Yeah, I think this is one of the reason.
Why often foreigners chose to retire in my country.
By the way I can buy a pair of slipper here for only $1 dollar.
I know this is not the cheapest price here but regularly this is the price of slipper I buy often.
How much is the cost of the cheapest pair of slipper in you country? lol
People in the USA sometimes pay over $1000 for a pair of “fancy” slippers. It makes no sense to me. Still, even “cheap” slippers cost over $30. Maybe some places will sell for under $10 if we are lucky.
wow, I'm glad I live here in the Philippines.
Yes, be very thankful. I am thankful for many things about my home, the prices of everyday items is not one of the things I am thankful for though.
