Hello Steemit community and gardening enthusiasts as they are
Today I will talk about the care and needs of the Petunias their different varieties.
The Petunias are a plant with numerous simple spongy leaves, green color which makes the trumpet-shaped flower stand out a lot There are different colors and shapes that go from stars, with white edges, unicolor, marbled and double flower.
It is a plant that can grow between (30 cm and 60 cm) there are 23 species as such are native to South America and many of the cultivated are Petunias Hybrida, which are crossbreeding between the species of Brazil and Argentina.
One of the care and needs they need are the following:
* The Petunias are a type of silver that need an abundant watering and at the same time a good drainage "once a day watering them" and always water the stem or base of it.
* It is important not to wet the flower when watering.
* They need liquid fertilizer for plants every 15 days and place it after irrigation to avoid dissolving it a lot.
* Eliminate the flowers already withered and in late summer prune them a bit to encourage new stems to grow.
* Sun here and seen that he does not like very well, the direct sun withered in the nursery where they work they are under transparent or translucent roof never hits direct sun.
* The most frequent pests in the petunia are aphids and whitefly, which are treated with insecticides.
These are some of the Petunias that are flowered since the only way to identify which species they are is by means of the flower, that without it all the plants are equal to each other.
