Clear Out the Body Clutter
Cleanfox - Clean Up Your Mail
One of the biggest obstacles for people trying to get in shape is finding time for a workout. But if you live in a house full of clutter, that might be stopping you from getting into your ideal shape—simply because it’s too difficult and strenuous to navigate piles of things to get all your exercise gear or, heck, even find an open wall where you can tack up a couple of push-up bars. Tackling clutter will not only make your home look better, but also make it easier to stay fit. It’ll help clear space for a home gym (or at least give you more room to do push-ups) and free up storage space so you don’t have to buy extra equipment just because there isn’t any room left in your garage. If you want to learn how to declutter your life, we recommend starting with Marie Kondo’s book The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up: The Japanese Art of Decluttering and Organizing .

Sleep 7–8 Hours
We’ve all heard it before, but that doesn’t make it any less true. A lack of sleep will slow your metabolism and hurt your ability to build muscle. Plus, you won’t be able to focus at work and your productivity will suffer. Make sure you get 7–8 hours of shut-eye every night and you’ll notice a difference in your fitness level in no time. If you have trouble falling asleep, try keeping a journal by your bedside table. Writing down what’s on your mind can help quiet your brain enough for sleep to come naturally. In addition, if you tend to eat too late at night (or if you wake up starving), keep a water bottle next to your bed so you don’t reach for calorie-laden snacks when hunger strikes.
Set Small Goals
Fitness experts say that trying to lose weight overnight or transform your body drastically is no way to go about it. That’s because drastic, quick changes like these are hard on your body and can do more harm than good. If you want long-lasting results, you need a comprehensive plan with small, incremental steps forward. As we inch closer to spring, here are some tips for getting fit in no time!
The key to reaching any fitness goal is setting smaller goals along the way. When you aim big, it makes it hard to appreciate when you make little improvements—and if you don’t see any change, then what motivation do you have?
Start Exercising
Winter may be over, but that doesn’t mean you can go months without exercising. It takes a few weeks for your body to adjust, but it will soon get back into shape and make getting fit easier. Plus, there are tons of places outside you can visit in springtime. Start with a walk around your neighborhood or park. And if you’re not sure where to start, ask a professional trainer for some tips—they’ll know exactly what you need! A friend is looking to start their own business: I have an idea for an app that would help other people like me who work on computers all day. I want to help them keep track of their wrists so they don’t hurt themselves as much, he says. He knows he needs a developer and wants my advice on how best to proceed from here.

Enjoy the Journey
One of my favorite mantras is Enjoy where you are. If you’re in an uncomfortable place, or feeling like you haven’t made any progress, that mantra can be a reminder that even if things aren’t where you want them to be, keep your eyes on what lies ahead and remember why you started in the first place. It’s easy to get caught up in comparing yourself to others and thinking about how far away you are from your goals, but it will only hold you back from being happy with who you are today. So enjoy your journey!
