Health Check
The importance of hospital cannot be over emphasized, for its role cannot be replaced by either church or shrines. The question of whether to visit a hospital when sick is redundant, it is needless to conceived the thought.
Every hospital has its area of specialty, some are specialized in taking care of kids, elderly, pregnant mothers, while others are specialized in tooth and eyes related problems, there is hardly any health related problem that has no specialty.
If all health issues have specialists waiting eagerly to treat you, I wonder why going to hospital becomes very difficult to both patients and families of the sick.
I want to encourage you to visit the hospital frequently for the following reasons:
To Ensure Your Body is in Check: When you go for check up, you would know your health status, your doctor will advice you on health practices that will enhance your life. If you have some health issues then your doctor will attend to it at it early stage, for prevention is better than cure.
For Prevention, Prevention & Prevention: It seem like I am repeating myself, prevention is the key to staying healthy. A blood tests can detect that you have some health issues and your doctor can help you become the healthiest version of you.
To Keep Your Mind in Check: Did you know that being a female is an independent risk factor for depression—and that women are more than twice as likely than men to struggle with depression over the course of their lifetime? What’s more, we aren’t always great at noticing the symptoms ourselves. But a having a routine mental health screening by your physician can help identify warning signs—before they go from bad to worse.
Some months ago, I visited the family of a bereaved, who died of typhiod, and I asked his wife for the drugs he was treated with, because I wondered why in this 21st century would one die. I was shocked that neither a tablet or capsule of any medicine was provided, she rather rolled out some pots from under the bed and some rusted tins, she pointed to the pots and tins saying these were the medicines we used. She only knows they are “dogo-yaro”, “lemon grass”, “pawpaw and guava leaves”, etc. But she has little or no knowledge of the component and on the other hand, the dosage is not always specified and accurate.
Herbs are good medicines but are not be substituted for hospital, visit the hospital and you will live a happy life.
Stay healthy always and have a wonderful Week.
