My favourite book! WAR AND PEACE by TOLSTOY
Just a quick introduction for those who did not have the chance to read "War and peace", YET!!!
For the first time "War and Peace" was published in 1868 in four parts in Moscow. In 1885 it was then read for the first time in German translation. Exciting and impressive, this novel tells the story of Russia during the years from 1805 to 1812, bringing back important historical personalities such as Napoleon or Czar Alexander I.
The story is told almost exclusively from the point of view of Russian nobles, with several strings of action in which more than 250 people play. However, the three Russian nobility families are Bolkonski, Besuchow and Rostov.
So important is "war and peace" not least because it portrays the war and individual battles impressively, but also reports on tea and balls. Tolstoy's Tolstoy often lets the Russian nobles speak in the then-popular French language, and thus takes the reader in a unique way into the Russia of the past. Hardly any other work manages to reproduce the original conditions so faithfully.
One of the innumerable main characters is the love-loving Natasha from the now impoverished Adelshaus Rostov - who falls in love with the rich prince Andrey Bolkonski, but has to wait a year for this. Another main person from "War and Peace" is the common friend of Natasha and Bolkonskis Pierre Besuchow.
This is a surprise to a large piece of land, and from now on he renounces his lazy lifestyle. The fate of these three people is connected in an impressive manner and during the battles of Austerlitz and Borodin as well as the fire of Moscow. Thus, "war and peace" not only tells of war, power and money, but also of a forbidden love - a woman between two men. The novel begins in 1805, when Russia's third coalition war began against France. In 1812, finally, the novel ended with the fact that Napoleon's campaign against Russia miserably failed.
Important Characters
In the novel, almost 300 people are involved. Due to the numerous action lines and the countless people, you can quickly lose track of the results. The most important characters are:
The Count Pierre
Prince Andrey Nikolaevich Bolkónski
Natasha Rostowa
Princess Marja Bolkonskaya
Anatol Kuragin
Officer Fyodor Dolochov
Due to the large number of protagonists, the Register of Persons is quite helpful at the end of the novel:)
Conclusion
"War and Peace" is not only a classic of world literature, but also one of the most important historical novels, which, however, requires the reader to concentrate some time during the reading. But let me tell you, it is well worth the time because you get soaked into a completely different century.
Is it available on amazon?

seems to be a interesting book..is this book about these three person Natasha , his love and his friend...i it about love in war...?
It's about the three families and their individuals' stories. Of course there are some characters that get more attention than others, but the book is so much more than just a love story:)
