The Village by the Sea is one of my favorite books and I read it in my O/L days. That story is so lovely.
As a Sri Lankan, I always think about a change of attitudes and morals within everyone over certain facts.
I don't know why but there is a huge scarcity in open minded people in Sri Lanka. Some people look at things only from their perspective. So yes a huge attitudinal change is needed.
Yup, the concept of being open mind and tolerance of others are rare to see here. We have to be more flexible for everyone's attitudes. But it doesn't mean that human can be rude as they want.
