The story of the Mongol invasion on the Tsushima island and as a result of what it did to Jin Sakai the main character and everyone around him. I will make sure I discuss the main story of the game to you guys.

Let’s get into it brothers!! As a samurai you fight with all your strength to protect your people and island to defeat anyone who is against you and you do so with honor.
Jin and his fellow samurai warriors on top of a hill on their horses knowing they won’t be coming back from the war they are about to get their selves into. But as a samurai you have to learn to control your emotions and not to fear death. Aftwards, the leader of the samurai called lord Harunobo Adachi goes bravely to consult the Mongol leader in an honorable one-on-one fight against the leaders of each group.

This is when we get introduced to the main antagonist of the game called Khotun Khan grandson of Genghis Khan and cousin of Kublai Khan. It’s obviously true that Khotun Khan doesn’t care for honor as he burned Lord Adachi alive infront of his entire army while the samurai army are on the hill watching him.

The game then let you start controlling your character right from there. Jin starts the attack on Komodo beach on a horse . A very devastating fight and one of the many fights that are going to be occurring throughout the game. Through the storm of arrows you are suddenly hit with arrows and forced to take the fight on foot.

After pushing forward enough you are the hit with more arrows and it’s at this time that Khotun Khan comes on to the battle grounds to capture Lord Shimura.
Khotun besides being brutal and fierce, he’s a smart warrior. He has studied the samurai code - their languages traditions and how they operate also Japanese politics and their way of life. He uses this knowledge to exploit his foes for his own gain.

Eventually the main character Jin will regain consciousness saved by a woman we know as Yuna. Soon enough, Jin then discovered who saved him and realized he was dealing with a thief. Pretty weird huh.

Yuna then made it known to Jin that she had a reason for saving him from the battlefield either than just being nice. After sneaking through the army of the mogol you’ll eventually find your sword of clan Sakai. This is at the point where the first flash back will come into play. So from the flashback we get to know that Jin’s mom had died when he was very young. And Jin wanted to believe his mom’s death was actually a lie and not real so he ran into the forest for 3 days and never returned. Thankfully Jin’s father lord Kazumasu Sakai eventually found him and Jin was almost considered dead. Later, Lord Kazumasu died in battle in which Jin watched at a distance. Just like how everyone else will feel if he or she lacks the strength to save their loved ones, Jin felt terrible and sad. At lord Kazumasu’s funeral, Lord Shimura then passes down the family Sakai blade and says tomorrow he will train Jin as his ward.

Lord Shimura training Jin

While training, Lord Shimura told him to state the virtues they follow and that as a Samaria you must set an example for the people by remaining true to the code and yourself. Jin states that his virtue of honor is protecting the people especially the ones who cannot fight for them selves. This then leads to another flashback of the two looking for a bear and an assassin try’s to sneak up behind lord Shimura and attempt to attack him. This teaches Jin that only cowards attack from the back and to fight with the enemy head on with courage and respect.

Jin then escape with Yuna, grab a horse and headed back to get Lord Shimura back. He then met Khotun Khan who defeated him and pushed him off the bridge.

Once awoken he’s then taken to the golden temple. One of the residents saved him. This place isn’t under the mogol control. Breaking into the castle of Kaneda where lord Shimura is kept isn’t that easy and so Jin will be needing allies. So he planned to recruit Lady Masako, sensei Ishikawa, and Yuna’s brother Taka to help him take the castle.

Eventually Jin meets Yuna at home in Southern Asimo where a new ally enters dealing merchant Kenji. Every mission with Kanji’s always so bizarre. Kenji has known Yuna and Taka for a long time in his life.

After sneaking and killing a couple of mongol warriors, you’ll soon find Taka who is seriously wounded. Even with these allies, it is still not enough so Jin must recruit the straw hat men, a fearsome group of individuals who will dedicate their life to the bow and blade. Also Taka made him a tool to be used in climbing the walls of the castle and also higher grounds.

Ryuzo, the leader of the straw hat men agreed to help Jin break out Lord Shimura but you can tell he’s not that happy about that as his men are his top priority. This prioritization Ryuzo has is what’s going to cause some unsavory problems in the near future.
Jin and his recruited army and attacked a fortress nearby and gained full ownership to it. Khotun Khan received reports of these ghostly actions.

With all the necessary preparations made, it was time to take the fight to castle Kaneda but Ryuzo hasn’t arrived yet. There is no time so Jin and his allies will have to do it without him. Sneaking through the castle, using stealth Jin goes deeper into the castle and finds Ryuzo. Jin has a bounty on his head put on by Khotun khan and Ryuzo is desperate to save his men so he has to do what he can to survive even if he has to kill his old friend.

After defeating Ryuzo, Jin still gave him a second chance to help him but he refuses. Ryuzo is now considered a traitor and there is no coming back. Jin then pushed forward to rescue Lord Shimura and take the castle back from the mongol invaders. But as at that time Khotun wasn’t there but lead his army to attack a neighboring territory.
But things are looking better as Lord Shimura is alive and healthy. So more allies boosting lol. Except that Ryuzo is working with Khotun in order to get food to feed his men. But he has to earn it buy burning innocent villagers.

I hope you enjoyed reading this and stay tuned for the last part. Like I said earlier on it will be worth your time.
