One of the biggest obstacles for the wide adoption of blockchain technologie, in my opinion, is people's apathy.
In our complex world a lot of folks just long for simple and convenient solutions. So many huge proplems like climate change, pesticide-laden foods and political turmoils, as well as subjectively huge problems, like how do I get rid of these 20 pounds of overweight, to worry about... And now one should worry about one's personal data as well?! And where is the problem anyway, if you have nothing to hide??

Unfortunalty it's just a relatively small sociatal bubble, that has the priviledge to understand and worry about abstract problems of this kind.

I think part of the solution is making Blockchain Apps super simple and fun to use and the other part is, like @nickyhavey already said a "colossal mindset shift".
