INTRODUCTION
MY MEAL SCHEDULE
Unfortunately, some of us eat according to our desires or wants rather than needs and forgetting to think of our health. A good meal schedule or plan should include a meal that makes up the balance diet. I'm one of those who snacks a lot and I can say my meal schedule is not too good.
How many times do you eat a day?
As an adult, one is supposed to eat at least twice a day but there are times I end up eating once a day due to my busy schedule. Most times I eat twice a day and few times, I eat thrice a day. But I snack in-between these times.
As a teacher, I have a very busy schedule because I have to be at work very early, so most times, I leave the house without food and work catches up with me in my workplace. Before I know it, it's 4pm and I go home, and that's my first real meal for the day. But on weekends like Saturdays, I eat three times a day.
Have you ever had trouble keeping to your meal times
Lots of time, I have had trouble keeping to my meal times. There are some things responsible for this.
• Taking snacks in-between meals can make me have trouble keeping to my meal times. Too much snacks before meals makes one not feel hungry again to eat real food.
• When I'm too busy, I might not keep to my meal times cos I will be trying to meet deadline.
• When I'm sick, I feel it unable to eat. I might end up skipping meals cos of no appetite to eat.
• If I'm away from home example attending event, there is no way I'll be able to keep to my meal time.
• Also, finance can stop me from keeping to my meal time as a person without money can't afford eating like he or she would.
Are you one of those people who prefer a full meal or who, if they don't have time, eat anything on the street?

What would an ideal eating schedule look like for you?
An ideal eating schedule should start with breakfast which is the most important meal of the day as it is a break from fast throughout the night, is should be something light, lunch which can be a little heavy and taken maybe 4 hours after breakfast and dinner which should be taken at least 2 hours before bedtime so it can digest before one sleeps. An example of my schedule can be:
• Tea or golden morn or pap for breakfast with bread and egg. The golden mourn has vitamin A and also gives protein, same with egg while the bread is carbohydrate.
Breakfast
• For lunch, one might need a heavy food so as to take one through while one is labouring so I lobe having garri or fufu, with soup. The garri or fufu gives one carbohydrate while soup which is made from Vegetables gives vitamins and minerals. The soup can be okra soup, pumpkin, melon, bitter leaf soup, etc
Lunch
• Finally for dinner, I would rather go for something light and I'll eat before 9pm. Dinner can be rice, beans, porridge plantain, etc.
CONCLUSION
• It helps keep one in check on what one is eating whether it's healthy or not.
• It doesn't allow one waste one's money.
• It helps prevent diseases as eating healthy can prevent certain diseases.
• It controls blood pressure and sugar level.
There are certain things that are also very important in-between meal schedule example fruits and water. Fruits contains minerals and vitamins which is very good for the body. Fruits helps in constipation.
