Summer in Hurghada
Basically, the individual seasons in Hurghada differ little, because as in the rest of Egypt, the climate in this small coastal village is also determined by the desert. The summers in Hurghada can get up to 34 degrees Celsius, but the heat doesn't feel uncomfortable because the humidity is very low. Shirts with short sleeves, shirts and light linen or cotton trousers as well as light shoes should be packed in the suitcase. You should not forget the sun hat, however, because it can get really hot in Hurghada, especially during the lunch hours. Between the months of April and October there is summer in Egypt and thus the best time to dive. During this time, a three millimetre thick wetsuit is sufficient to stay in the water for a longer period of time. For all those who like to swim in the crystal-clear waters off the coast of Hurghada, the Egyptian summer is fantastic, because the water has a pleasant bath tub temperature of 26° degrees Celsius.
Winter in Hurghada
There is no winter in the true sense of the word in Hurghada, because even in winter temperatures remain in the double-digit range. Egypt in January means that the thermometer rises to 23° C during the day and does not fall below 14° C during the night. If you want to go out in Egypt in February in the evening, then you should take a sweater or jacket with you, because if the wind on the coast refreshes, then it can get cool. However, diving is also possible in the Egyptian winter, only the wetsuit should be better five millimetres thick. The water temperatures are at a maximum of 20 degrees Celsius and those who don't freeze so quickly can still take a bath in the Red Sea. However, the Hurghada weather is pleasant at all seasons, because only if you drive directly into the desert or into a big city like Cairo, the heat can become unpleasant.
