We don't and shouldn't strive to "own" our likeness

A funny example of how we don't and shouldn't strive to "own" our likeness. Identity definitions and identity verification systems need to evolve. People are very impermanent.

If I was born and looked exactly like a person in an expensive old painting, does ownership of said painting instantly transfer to me? No, of course not. Our faces and bodies are actively decaying from the moment we are born. Our physical state will only become stable once we return to the inorganic components from which we were made.

Celebrity and personal branding must die.
