Hundreds of Residents of Surabaya Blood Donor Helps Church Bomb Victims

About 41 people were injured in a suicide bomb attack on three churches in Surabaya, East Java, Sunday (13/5). Crocodile City residents also rushed to the hospital to donate their blood, to help the victims of critical injuries.

"Come on Surabaya residents, for those who have concern and are able to donate their blood, we donate to PMI for victims of church bombing in Surabaya," said one resident, Teguh Prihandoko after donating blood at PMI Embong Ploso, as quoted by Antara.

According to Teguh, donating blood is believed to save the victims of the bomb blast, which currently needs blood and in intensive care at hospitals in Surabaya.

"My blood and your blood are all citizens of Surabaya needed at this time," said Teguh who is also President Director of Regional Company of Cut Animals (RPH) Surabaya this.

The same call was also conveyed by the board members and members of the Online Driver Online Indonesia (PDOI) of East Java. Public Relations PDOI East Java Daniel Rorong said the appeal as a form of concern from PDOI to donate blood to help the victims of bombing terror.

"A drop of blood of fellow drivers online R2 and R4 is very helpful to save our brothers who need blood donors," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of Donor Services UTD PMI Surabaya, dr. Martono Adi Triyuko, estimates the number of donors on this day to reach 600 people. The amount exceeds the target under normal circumstances.

"Normally, every day we have a target of around 400. But today it was a bubble after the incident." The community has a great sense of caring, "he said.
