How to prepare for an interview?
Some 5-10 years back, it would have been stick to basics and highlight your achievements.
But now things are quite different with ever growing competition. The most important thing today would be patience and second thing would be knowing market trend.
Patience as in, it is very difficult that you will be cracking your first interview. You would fail at least in 5 interviews before landing into a job. Patience is also important since these days interview procedures are long and may take couple of days. You may also have to spend whole day waiting for your turn without even eating all day. Things are even more tough if you happen to go for Walk-ins because they only select couple of candidates out of some 100 lot and if you happened to do so then trust me, it is something really to cherish upon.
In today's world you're more likely to be selected if you think like Zuckerberg than Einstein. Seriously, nobody cares what great things you did at office but they are only interested if you can do their work. So always do some changes in your resume as per every company needs. Gather as much as information about the job that is being offered and answer them accordingly. Also, keep up with the market trends and make sure your Naukri profile has those special words which HRs are looking for.
And lastly, learn from your every failed interview. Google those uncomfortable questions and prepare them for your next interviews. Read Interview's mind and don't show your anxiety. Be confident even when you're talking about something which you have just read couple of minutes back on internet.
All the best.
