BONJOUR STEEMIANS, FROM SOUTH OF FRANCE !

 

Hello steemians from all over the world. Let me introduce myself from the beautiful city of Marseille.

Quick Intro 

My nickname here is @ataleb which mean "Seeker of Science" or "Seeker of Truth" in arabic. I'm a 29 years old moroccan living in Marseille, France. I left my family and home country at 18 to pursue my college studies. I am working as a software engineer for a couple years now...but i got enough of it lately, and wanted to challenge my comfort zone again, so i just quit. I am planning on having some time off, letting go of accumulated bad stress, getting back in shape, visiting and welcoming friends and family, chilling in the summer sun, before getting a new job again...unless steemit helps me pay the rent. We'll see ! ;)

The blockchain and I

I must say that I am completely obsessed with blockchain technology for a few months now. Expressions like "Uberisation of economy" and "Open source money" sound like a sweet melody to my solar anarchist*** ears. 

I cannot hide my joy knowing that this technology could give us back the power to outsmart the corrupt governments of the word and the financial terrorists who own them. Their time is running out.

Experts say blockchain is as revolutionary as the internet itself. And that's exactly how i feel, discovering the internet for the second time. But this time it's not about the "internet of information", this strange jungle where i can download an illegal copy of the latest album of my favourite artist. It's now about the "internet of value" a safe heaven of  minimal rule and regulation where humans interactions are redefined to be direct, transparent and trustworthy again.

Now everybody can be (should be !) an actor of this new noosphere, and get a fair share of his work. I wonder if blockchain may actually be the last piece of the puzzle to having a true free market system, which may lead us, if we don't nuke ourselves before, and with the help of nano-tech, automation and AI to our first planetary resource based economy. Utopia anyone ?

Discovering steemit  

I heard of steemit for the first time on Youtube where many cryptocurrency guys say it's worth investing money on. So i followed their advice and bought some steem for a start. And here i am writing my first post to introduce myself. However im not yet fully aware of how steemit works. I am still discovering the many facets of this blockchain.
I am for now studying @teamsteem "ultimate guide" and learning about steem power and steem dollars thanks to @andrarchy videos. Still a lot of reading to do, thank you guys !

What I could write about

I'm an occasional writer, i love posting about geopolitics, history, poetry, faith, religion, science and technology, but as english is not my mothertongue i may find it difficult to translate my work from french, but i'll give it a try. (sorry in advance for my grammar, spelling mistakes and poor vocabulary wording). I hope to see a french community moving to steemit soon, and I know some steemians are working on bringing more frenchies to the party :)

Lately i spent most of my time on facebook debunking crazy conspiracy theories (I don't believe 911 was an "inside job") and sharing content countering the Media-Military–Industrial complex propaganda on the 'war on terror' (more like "war on independent political islam") and exposing the horrific crimes of the barbaric western coalition on my brothers in faith in the middle east. You gotta stand for what is right, and speak justice, even if the whole word is against you. I dont hide my plans of winning hearts and minds here. A complete article on the subject coming soon !
 

In the long run

I know people tend to watch rather than read, so i guess a way of getting the best of steemit is by posting videos, so I plan in the future on buying some gear and start sharing some nicely produced POV vlogs of me wonderning through my beautifull city and region, with some nice narrative in the background. I'll have to work on that too !
