Go Daddy Hacked AGAIN! ...and trying to cover it up!
This week 11-13-2018, several Go Daddy clients received emails from themselves stating thier account has been hacked, showing proof the account has been compromised by including sensitive information in the email, their account passwords and demanding a ramson of 898 bitcoins or all of the person's personal data, private emails, and all other accessible information would be published online.
I am one of those Go Dady clients. At first, they tried to downplay the severity of the situation by saying it was only a spam email, then they tried to put the fault on me the client " I must have mistakenly given my user data to the wrong person. When I clarified that I only use encrypted passwords, I was one of their resellers of 20yrs and had several clients accounts that were also compromised they admitted that they have received several calls about accounts being hacked. Their solutions was to purchase an even more expensive account package from them. As if that would make their security breach any less serious.
Go Daddy is downplaying this very serious security breach it as spam. To cover their asses and not offering any real help to clients who data has been grossly compromised! - AMFrances
